If you need an executive resume, congratulations! You are among the top in your field and major players in your industry. C-level professionals, vice presidents, politicians and most people with a “senior” in their job title need an executive resume. One obvious way an executive resume differs from other types of resume is in length. Executive resumes are often two to three pages long. More length is less important in an executive resume because at the executive level, employers are giving your resume more than just a glance. They need detail! The right kind of detail can make or break your executive resume. Although you have more room to be descriptive, where many executives go wrong in their resume is including personal information. Avoid getting too personal by excluding information such as your date of birth, religion, marital status and physical appearance. This kind of information is only acceptable if you are an entertainer or if you are applying for a position in another country.
If you are having trouble deciding what belongs on the cutting room floor, consult a resume writing service. Resume writing services can help you take your years of experience and put it into a concise, yet appropriately detailed executive resume. A resume company can take your accomplishments and craft the resume, using action verbs and key words that will impress employers.
You will also need to include a cover letter with your executive resume. Cover letter writing is just as tricky as executive resume writing because it too, can be overwhelming. Employers look at cover letters to determine where you aim to be and how your skills fit into the company’s goals. Executives often have so much to say that they have trouble writing a concise cover letter. Resume writing services often offer tailored cover letters as part of their packages. If you want to know what kind of work a resume company turns out before you hand your resume over to one, check on their website. Resume writing services often post resume samples to display their work to potential clients.

As usual you guys have done a fabulous job. With my technology resume, no one was responding at all until I had you guys do my resume. Even though all recommendations advised against more than one page resumes, I had quite a few responses, much more than the 0 I was getting before! I tried using a modified version of that resume for non technical jobs, but It still gravitated to technology and I think that's why I wasn't getting any responses for non-technical jobs. I am confident with this new resume I will have great success in getting contacted for one of these jobs. Most heartily
I thank you and your company!
